Euro Area Industrial Production Rises 0.3 Percent in September 2009

The pace of rising industrial production across the 16 eurozone countries slowed in September 2009 despite marking a fifth monthly gain in a row, official statistics released on Nov. 12, 2009, showed.  Industrial production across the eurozone rose by 0.3 percent in September, as against 0.9 percent in August, and fell by 12.9 percent on an annual basis, compared to 15.4 percent last time out, according to the European Union Eurostat agency’s data.
